Who should NOT go on a Zodiac tour? For safety reasons, Zodiac tours are not recommended for: Pregnant women Children under 4 years old Anyone with recent back, neck, or spinal injuries
What should I wear? Layers are key! It's always cooler on the water than on land. Spring/Summer (June-October): Long pants or warm leggings Windbreaker or light jacket Long-sleeve shirt Closed-toe shoes with non-slip soles (sneakers are perfect) Hat with a strap or chin cord Sunglasses with a retainer strap Fall/Winter (November-May): Warm jacket or fleece Waterproof outer layer (windbreaker or rain jacket) Warm pants (jeans or leggings) Gloves and beanie Closed-toe shoes with good grip Scarf or neck warmer DON'T WEAR: Flip-flops or sandals High heels Loose hats that will blow away
  • What Should I bring? Camera or smartphone (with wrist strap!) Sunscreen Small backpack for personal items Motion sickness medication (if prone to seasickness) Sunglasses Binoculars (provided on the boat)
Motion sickness Zodiacs have a low center of gravity, which makes them more stable and comfortable than larger boats. We recommend: Taking motion sickness medication 1 hour before departure Focusing on the horizon

How close do we get to the whales? We follow all federal and state marine mammal protection guidelines: Maintain a minimum distance of 100 yards from whales Stay 50 yards from dolphins and sea lions However, whales often approach us! If they choose to come closer, we turn off the engine and let them decide the interaction The Zodiac's low profile means you're sitting just 2-3 feet above the water - much closer than on large boats!

What wildlife can you expect on our tours? Dolphins, seals, sea lions, a variety of birds, and whales. Please note that while we strive to provide memorable wildlife encounters, sightings cannot be guaranteed on every trip.
